Referral Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions of the TechWriter Referral Program before you continue.

General conditions

You can refer either someone looking for work (candidate referral) or a contact at a company who is looking for someone to fill a permanent or contract position (client referral).
The referral must not contravene your company’s policy.
Ideally, you should not be involved in the selection process. If you are, then you should declare the nature of your interest in the outcome to your manager before participating.

Client referral

The company or contact must be new to us. This means that they:
- are not already in our records or
- are a new contact in a separate division of a known company but have not had contact with us previously.
We will need the client to confirm that they used us as a result of your recommendation. If the client contacts us, mentioning that you referred them when they contact us initially is sufficient.
If you notify us of a vacancy with a company and we contact the company based on your information, you will need to register first.
Your claim should be made as soon as possible, preferably before we start working for the client and must be within 2 months of a person commencing work.
A referral is valid for 6 months from the time we confirm your registration.
A referral fee is payable only when we have successfully placed either a contractor or permanent person with the client who you referred.

Candidate referral

The person being referred must not already be in our records as either a contact or a candidate.
We need written verification of the referral from the person being referred. They can do this by mentioning your name when submitting their resume.
The referral is valid for 6 months from the time we receive their resume.
The referral fee is payable only when we have successfully placed the person in a contract or permanent position.

Payments

Only one reward is payable for each successful person placed.
A reward is payable for each person successfully placed in response to a single opportunity.
A reward is only paid for the first placement resulting from the referral.
For tax reasons, we require appropriate documentation (e.g. tax invoice or Statement by a Supplier form) to make the payments.

Contract placement rewards

We will pay the following rewards for a maximum period of 6 months:

We will pay the reward following receipt of payment from the client, on a monthly basis.

Permanent placement reward

We will pay a $1000 reward following the successful completion of the probation period (usually 3 months) AND receipt of payment by the client.

We reserve the right to revise or cancel the Referral Program without notice but will honour all successful placements up to the date of announcement.
